JACQUEZ, ROBERTO - El Paso  
Roberto "Jerry" Jacquez passed away Monday, May 25, 2015 at the age of 79. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, grandpa, and uncle and will be remembered fondly and with much joy. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Raymundo, Alfredo "Felo", sister Manuela "Chata", and son Jose Antonio "Pepe". Jerry is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 43 years, Enedina, his four daughters, Maria, Mary, Tina, and Lorena, their husbands, nine grandchildren, three sisters, two brothers, and numerous nieces and nephews. Born May 31, 1935, in Anthony, NM to Antonio and Luisa Jacquez, Jerry became the story teller everyone knew and loved. His favorite stories involved how he earned his nickname and his trips to California to visit his brother and nephews. He met and married his wife in 1971 and renewed their vows in 1986 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Jerry forever remained an active member in the church, ensuring that his daughters and grandchildren were raised with a strong faith in God. Jerry loved to read and spent most of his time sitting at the kitchen table reading books on World War II and working on his word search puzzles. He and his wife worked as custodians at a bank in Anthony for 38 years. He will always be remembered for his knowledge of the Jacquez family history, his love for old cowboy movies, appreciation of history, his joy of hosting family gatherings, and his wonderful singing voice which was always heard from his house to the bank to public places. Serving as pallbearers will be sons-in-law, Braulio Rivera, José Guillen, Richard Valdez and youngest grandchildren Sinaí Monica Guillen, Braulio Rivera Jr., and Cristian Roberto Rivera. A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm-9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Saint Anthony's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Anthony Cemetery. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home-West. JOHNSON, GEORGE - El Paso  
In loving memory of George Kenneth Johnson, 87. Born November 27, 1927, passed over on May 20, from natural causes. He was a caring father and loving husband; survived by his wife Irene, and three children: Michael Johnson, Michael Ruben Nevarez, and Yvonne Teresa Rodriguez, and four grandchildren: Ryan Johnson, George Rodriguez, Chris Rodriguez, and Kimberly Rodriguez, and three great grandchildren: Sebastian Pedroza, Jazelynn Diaz, and Daniel Diaz. We will miss you dad and remember all the love and caring that you provided us. After relocating from Minnesota to El Paso, George worked in the road construction industry with Vowell and Borsberry Construction. George showed us how to tough out hard times being a child of the great depression, a chemo/cancer survivor, and he even survived being washed overboard at night during a storm, while serving his country in the Navy during WWII. His never give up attitude and strong work ethic typifies the values of his generation and exemplifies his personal success. His great sense of humor, love of life and generosity are what we inherit from knowing him. Pallbearers: Michael Johnson, Michael Ruben Nevarez, George Rodriguez, Chris Rodriguez, Sebastian Pedroza, and Daniel Diaz. The public is invited to pay tribute to George Johnson at the Martin Funeral Home, 3839 Montana. Open casket from 5-7 and eulogy 7-9 on Tuesday May 26th. Funeral procession to Ft. Bliss National Cemetery departing Martin Central on Wednesday May 27th at 9:30AM.

Pete L. Jacques Jr., 62, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Jacques is preceded in death by his dad Pedro S. Jacques Sr. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Pete is survived by his wife Connie, daughters: Barbara and Claudia, grandchildren: Noami and Adrian, mom Magdalena, brothers: Alfonso and Andy. The family would like to Thank Dr.'s Quirarte, Raudales, Terebessy, Parks and staff at the VA, WBAMC ER and the 9th floor hospital staff for their outstanding care, help and support. Tommy Juarez, 72. Our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 after bravely suffering for 3 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Carmen, their 2 children: Yvonne Rodriguez and Tommy Juarez Jr. (Sylvia); 4 grandchildren: Theresa, Tommy III, Steven Juarez and Victoria Rodriguez; and a large extended family too numerous to list. Tommy was part owner of Clover Club El Paso. He served his country in the U.S. Navy. Tommy enjoyed bowling where he was a member of the Eastside Keglers, golfing, playing the slot machines in Las Vegas and also watching the Dallas Cowboys. He was as youth basketball coach for Ascarate Eagles in the 70's and a bowling league secretary for many years. Serving as Pallbearers will be his son: Tommy Jr.; grandsons: Tommy III and Steven Juarez; favorite nephew: Fernando Rocha; brothers-in-law: Octaviano Rocha and Natividad Luevano. Honorary Pallbearers will be his cousins: Alex, Hector & Jesus Sepulveda; and brother: Juan Juarez. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 9:00 pm on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 am on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Little Flower Catholic Church 171 Polo Inn. Interment will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
