MARTIN, SHELBY - EL PASO  
Shelby John Martin, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at the age of 76. He was a lifelong resident of El Paso, Texas. Mr. Martin, graduated from El Paso High School, received his Bachelor of Science from Texas Western College and his Masters in Ed. Admin from University of Texas at El Paso. Mr. Martin was very proud to have been the principal of MacArthur Middle School, The State Gold Star School. Shelby was preceded in death, by the love of his life, Arcelia Martin and his parents Abe and Daisy May Martin and sister Jeanene Leonard. Survivors include his brother Nelson (Sandra) Martin, Stepchildren Patricia Palafox, David (Patty) Palafox and his grandsons, who he dearly loved; Thomas David (Amanda) Palafox, Patrick Palafox (fiancé-Sarah Shiffman). Dear friends of many years, Burl Wayne (Betty Whatley, Tycha Stading, Mary Lou (Juan) Rebollo and Debra (Louie) Martinez. Memorial Service will be held Thursday July 2, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel, 128 N. Resler 79912. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the El Paso Cancer Treatment Center at 1901 Grandview, El Paso, Texas 79902 or other Cancer research of your choice.

MARTINEZ, EDWARD - El Paso  
Edward Paul Martinez Was called to be in Heaven with his father, Raul Martinez, Jr. He passed away peacefully at his home, June 28, 2015, he was born in El Paso, Texas, March 4, 1958. He is survived by his two children, Ericka and Edward, Jr. and their mother, Martha Caraveo. His mother, Lily C. Martinez and two brothers, Dan Ray Martinez, and Raul Martinez, III, and sister-in-law, Charlyn Martinez, many aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces, and his loving Cat, Skittles. He was a loving father and son. His hobbies were gardening, fishing, and specially miniature trains. He devoted his last days in completing his mini train town. Any donation in lieu of flowers can be made to the American Dibetics Asso..Diabetic.org . for research. The viewing and Rosary will be held at Perches Funeral Home, 6111 S. Desert Blvd, El Paso, TX., 79932. July 7, 2015, from 4:00 to 9:00, and Funeral Mass, will be held at Queen of Peace, July 8 at 10:00 a.m.

McDonough, Grace - El Paso  
Grace A. McDonough (Banschbach) passed away 3 July 2015. Grace was born 9 December 1921 in Illinois. Grace married the love of her life, LTC Daniel J. McDonough on 6 June 1942. Grace was a dedicated Army Officer wife. She spent much of her time as a Red Cross Volunteer at WBAMC. Grace was preceded in death by her devoted husband Daniel. Graveside Service will be on 7 July 2015 at 11 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Humane Society of El Paso, in Grace's name. MEANS, BOBBIE - Gilbert  
Bobbie Jean Patton Means, age 79, passed away in her sleep on Wednesday June 24th in Gilbert, Arizona after battling Alzheimer's disease. Bobbie was born November 12, 1935 Dumas, Arkansas. As the Lord called Bobbie to him, I can only imagine Him saying to her "Hold My hand-and Trust. So long as you are conscious on My Presence with you, all is well. It is virtually impossible to stumble while walking in the Light with Me. I designed you to enjoy Me above all else. You find the deepest fulfillment of your heart in Me alone" (JC). The eldest daughter of Viola and Aggie Patton; Bobbie a Widow is survived by her children; Kenny, Anthony, Milton, and Arthur. Her sister Shirley preceded Bobbie and her two remaining sisters Vivian and Aggie. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Melody, Justice, Brittney, Malia and Tessa and her great grandchild Mya. Viewing Services for Bobbie will be held on Wednesday July 8th, 5-9 @ Martin Funeral Home on 3839 Montana Ave 79903, With a 7:00 pm Prayer Service. Church Services will Thursday July 9th @9:45 Mountain View Baptist Church, 4959 Hondo Pass, El Paso, Texas 79924, followed by the burial to Fort Bliss National Cemetery.

JUSTIN JAY MENDELOFF PEACEFULLY PASSED AWAY JUNE 28TH , BORN IN MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN FEBRUARY 4, 1931. HE GRADUATED FROM WASHINGTON HS AND MARQUETTE UNIVERSITY. JAY MET WIFE, MARILYN, WHILE SHE ATTENDED THE UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN. JAY AND MARILYN MARRIED IN 1951 AND WENT TO FORT LEONARD WOOD, MISSOURI WHERE HE SERVED IN THE DENTAL UNIT OF THE US ARMY. THEY MOVED BACK TO EL PASO WHERE JAY FOUNDED THE BAZAAR UNIFORM STORE, OUTFITTING EL PASO POLICE OFFICERS, FIREMEN AND HEALTHCARE WORKERS. HE RETIRED IN 2002. JAY WAS A BOARD MEMBER OF THE DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION AND WAS PAST PRESIDENT OF TEMPLE MOUNT SINAI CONGREGATION AND THE TEMPLE MEN'S CLUB. IN 1966 HE WAS AWARDED THE TITLE OF "KENTUCKY COLONEL" BY THE GOVERNOR OF KENTUCKY, THE HIGHEST HONOR BESTOWED BY THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY. JAY WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS, DR. HYMAN AND SADIE MENDELOFF AND BROTHER, DR. GAYLE MENDELOFF. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: MARILYN, BELOVED WIFE OF 64 YEARS; SON, GARY (LINDA) MENDELOFF; DAUGHTER, JAN REED; DAUGHTER, RENEE (BOB) ABRAMOFF; SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN WHO LOVINGLY KNEW HIM AS "PAPI JAY"; RYAN (JACKIE) MENDELOFF; JARED AND MILES MENDELOFF; STACY (BUCK) SHAPIRO; DR. KELLIE REED; HAYLEY AND MELANIE ABRAMOFF; AND TWO GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, BROOKLYN AND REED SHAPIRO; NIECES, NEPHEWS AND LONGTIME FRIENDS.
