LORONA, ISABEL - El Paso
Isabel Lorona 6/5/33 - 2/12/15 Our Heavenly Father has called His beautiful child, Isabel Lorona, home to eternal rest. Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend left this world peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She was a kind and gentle soul, warm and witty, and quick to help anyone in need. She was actively involved in her community, serving as PTA president and spearheading numerous neighborhood development projects, including the addition of mass transit routes and drainage improvements. She worked in various vocations, ending her career as department store manager. A member of the Catholic Church, her faith was firm and unwavering, and she prayed the rosary daily. She loved to travel and was blessed to tour Europe and many States with her children. Our love for her is everlasting and we will miss her dearly until we meet again. She will be in our dreams, thoughts and prayers. She is survived by her brother, John Lorona; sister, Anita Lorona; daughters, Elizabeth Barrera (Refugio), Teresa Ryan (Patrick), Joann Beatty, Jennie Pickler (Richie); sons, John Guadian, Jess Guadian (Benita); 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to her caregivers Petra Morales, Maria and Edna, and Hospice El Paso for their kind, gentle and compassionate care during the last leg of her journey. Rosary will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 12:00pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Memorial Mass at 12:30pm. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
