Romelia is survived by; sons, Edward Salazar, James Salazar, daughter Christina Salazar Pippenger, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. An internment will take place Friday, September 23, 2016 at 11:00 am at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Funeraria del Angel Martin-East.

The Life and Legacy of Geraldine Seay Rev. Geraldine R. Harvey (Williams) Seay, the daughter of the late Charles and Eunice Harvey was born on February 8, 1927 entered the Kingdom of God on September 6, 2016. Rev. Seay was born the sixth of the nine children. She married the late Harry M. Williams, Sr. in 1946. From this union, nine children were born. She married the late Clarence Seay in 1964 and from this union, one son was born. Shortly after their marriage, they were stationed to Fort Bliss, TX where she lived for 45 years in El Paso. Her Beloved husband Clarence preceded her in death in 1975. Rev. Seay earned an AA Degree from EPCC and a BA Degree from UTEP. She worked for the Federal Government for more than 50 years and retired in 1993. Rev. Seay was an avid sports fan. She became a regular fixture with her pot tops clanging together at the Andress Eagle and UTEP Miner football games. She always got the fans fired up. She was a WOMAN OF GOD leaving her children to cherish her legacy; Candace Willis (Ronald), Evelyn Peyton, Sincerria Elliott, Michele Williams, Harry Williams (Cynthia), Gerald Williams (Debra Faye), Charles Williams (Sheryl), Isaac Williams and Clarence Seay (Eva); along with surviving siblings, Rev. Irvin K. Harvey and Carrie Mae McBride, 29 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. Her son, Michael Williams predeceased her in 2013. Sandra Jean Shaffer 77, went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday September 10, 2016 at the Ambrosio Guillen State Veterans Home in El Paso Texas. Sandra was born July 31, 1939 in Johnson City, New York. She found JOY in devoting time being a home worker for her family, participating in various community/charity projects in El Paso Texas, and in her later years to the promotion of the Wellington Chew Senior Center. Predeceased by: Susie & Paul Patinka (parents), Ologa Sevick, Susan Dobondi, Jennie Cardone (sisters), John Patikna, Raymond Patinka, Paul Patinka, Robert Patinka (brothers). Surviving by: Jerry L. Shaffer Jr. (Tina)(son), JoAnn Threadgill and Jennifer Shaffer (daughters), Sara Shaffer (granddaughter), Pauline Arnold, Marie Von Holzen (sisters), Norman Patinka, Philip Patinka (brothers). Our family would like to express its sincere appreciation for the care given to our mother by the staff of the Ambrosio Guillen State Veterans Home, especially Andrea, also her team of doctors, especially Dr Renee Martinez.
