ROSAS, LUIS - El Paso
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Luis I. J. Rosas, age 84, passed away on August 24, 2015. He was born October 29, 1930 in Mexico City D.F., Mexico to Luis Rosas Maldonado and Maria Mendez Jimenez. He is survived by his wife Concepcion, his sons Luis, Jorge and Mario, his grandchildren Michael, Erica, Eric, Jorge, Luis, Diego, Miguel, Francis, Daniel, Connie, and Sophia and his great-grandchildren Gabriel, Aiden and Daniel. He served honorably in the United States Navy during a very difficult time in our nation's history and was a veteran of the Vietnam "War." After 21 years of military service (1956-1977) he retired and went on to continue in civil service at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Ft Bliss, TX., as a pharmacy technician, from 1977 to 1996. He loved music, cars, science fiction and had a well developed "sweet tooth." He had a flare for the culinary arts, dancing and storytelling. He leaves us with cherished memories of 57 years of devoted and faithful marriage to his wife Concepcion and the dignity and strength of a father who with a firm and steady hand provided a home for his children filled with love and a reverence for God.
