Dr. Andrew Curtis Faire, a resident of El Paso for over 33 years, passed away peacefully on the morning of May 7, 2014 at the Del Sol Medical Center. Dr. Faire was the loving husband of Dr. Josefina Diaz-Vogt, and a devoted father to daughter Miulin Anays and sons Harald and Sverre. He is also survived by his sister Alice Cannon in Atlanta, nephew Eric Wiggins in New York and many cherished godchildren and cousins. Dr. Faire was a retired Internal Medicine physician practicing in El Paso, TX, Birmingham, AL and Boston, MA. He graduated with an undergraduate degree From Michigan State University and a Medical Degree from Boston University. A dedicated jazz fan, he was former President and Program Director of the El Paso Friends of Jazz Society -- and counted John Coltrane, Thelonius Monk, Miles Davis and Charlie Parker as some of his favorite artists. He loved dancing and traveling the world with his wife. Dr. Faire also enjoyed attending foreign film festivals and playing his Baby Grand piano to relax. He will be greatly missed.
