Charles "Charlie" Lopez, 81, of El Paso Texas died Wednesday February 5, 2014 at home with his loving wife beside him. He served in the Navy during the Korean War on the USS Mathews A KA-96. He also served the military for another 23 years as a fireman at Fort Bliss and the surrounding military installations. Survivors include his wife, Martha Lopez, daughter Linda Mae Lopez, and son Clint Lopez. 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Eulogy at 7:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
