Donald Carr, 76 of Buckeye Arizona and formerly of El Paso Texas (1973-2008), passed away on 29 October 2013 at his home in Arizona. Don was born June 18, 1937 in Schenectady NY and he grew up in Pittsfield/Stockbridge MA. Don served as a Medical Specialist in the Army
for 23 years and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from active duty as a MSgt in 1977 at WBAMC in El Paso Texas. After serving in the Army he then worked for Civil Service from 1978-2000 also at WBAMC. Don was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He never met a stranger and was a trusted friend who was always there to lend a hand. He will be missed by all. Don is survived by his wife of 50 years Linda Carr, sons Rick, Steve and Aaron; Daughters-in-law Marissa, Pepper, April all of Buckeye AZ and Bea of Atlanta Ga as well as his sisters Mildred and Myra of Stockbridge MA. He was also the proud Grandfather of 9, Matthew, Amber, Savannah, Ashley, Shaira, Ken, Trixie, and Aricin. Additionally his extended family, the Genteks of Germany. Don is preceded in death by his Sister Shirley, brothers Richard and Joseph and his grandson Donald Carr II. There will be a grave side service at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Cave Creek Arizona on 12 Nov at 1100 AM.
