Edward Hunter Casner Sr. passed away on November 9, 2012 at age 89. He was born July 18, 1923 in Marfa, Texas. He is proceded in death by his parents Norman L. Casner and Mary Ellen Casner Heathcote and brothers Norman L. Casner and James G. Casner. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Irene Drummond Casner and his five children, Douglas Richard Casner and his children: Richard Casner and Mark Casner; E Hunter Casner Jr. and his children: Christian, Erin, Quentin: Curtis Howard Casner and his children: Brian, Andrew and Emily; Grady Casner and his daughters: Kathryn and Mary Ellen; and Caroline Casner and husband Jeb Wallace Brodeur and their son: Aidan and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Casner was an automobile dealer and President of Casner Imports and Vice-President of Casner Oldsmobile and Casner Motor Co. He was a board member of the Chamber of Commerce, Boys Baseball, United Way, El Paso; Texas & National Automobile Dealers Associations and President of the Del Norte Club. He graduated from Texas College of Mines and served as a US Naval PBY Pilot during WWII and had a life long fondness for flying and became a pilot at age 17 and continued flying for more than 50 years. He was also an avid handball player and a devoted member of the Church of St. Clement. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 2:00PM at The Church of St. Clement, 810 N.
