Elvira Miranda Rodriguez, 88, passed away on July 7, 2014. Elvira was born July 13, 1925 in El Paso, Texas where she was a lifetime resident. She grew up in Smeltertown in West El Paso. She was a wife, a homemaker, and a mother to four children. She and her husband were pastors of a church, Templo Betel, in Canutillo for ten years. She loved to sing for her Lord. In her later years, she enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carmelo and Jesusita Miranda, her husband, Eduardo "Lalo" Rodriguez, and siblings, Tony Miranda, Caro Seanez, Lico Miranda, Mona Mejia, and Carmela Arriola. She is survived by her siblings, Bobby Miranda, Neto Miranda, and Yeya Sarabia; her children, Chita Olivas (Tony), Eddie Rodriguez (Susan), Mimi Thom (Robert), Rachel Duran (Rick), seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. You will be greatly missed Vira. We love you! Visitation will be on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home West with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be Friday, July 11, 2014 at 9:00 am at Hillcrest Funeral Home West. Interment will immediately follow at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery.
