Guillermo L. Delgado, born January 9, 1926 in Fabens, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, June 23, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He will forever be remembered for his love of baseball, having played in his younger days with various teams around El Paso. He served in the US Navy
and was a member of Santo Nino Catholic Church in El Paso. He was preceded in death by his wife Delia V. Delgado and mother Maria L. Delgado. He leaves behind his legacy in his nine children, Lupe D. Estrada (Miguel), Alicia D. Granados (Michael), Guillermo Delgado Jr., Jose Antonio Delgado, Carmen D. Batista, Ernesto V. Delgado, Maria Chavez (Tacho), Dolores D. Castorena (Jorge), Patricia Meeks (Michael) and his grandson that he raised as a son, Eric Delgado (Vanessa), 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; Sister Josefina Ceja, 3 nieces and 1 nephew, all of California and his friend and companion Ola Camacho. We would like to thank Hospice of El Paso, for the wonderful and considerate care our father received, especially Michael Heredia, Zaareth Salvador, Gina Cervantes and Olga Holguin. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 30, 2013 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be Monday, July 1, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. at Santo Nino de Atocha Catholic Church.
