KENNETH RUTLEDGE

Kenneth Jack Rutledge, 75, passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 just four days shy of his 76th birthday. A graduate of Austin High School, Jack served his country in the Navy (aboard the USS Orca) and earned degrees from Texas Western College (B.S. in Biological Sciences) and the University of Texas at El Paso (Master's in Education). Jack enjoyed a 30-year career as an engineer with the Texas Department of Transportation. Upon his retirement, he taught Geology at El Paso Community College and was a substitute teacher with the Ysleta Independent School District. Jack is survived by his loving wife Kay; Twin daughters Alyssa Trollinger and her husband Greg, and Allison Payne and her husband Jeff; Grandson and namesake Jack Trollinger; Brothers Leslie Rutledge, Jr. and his wife Pat, David Rutledge and his wife Tara; Nieces and Nephews Kenneth Rutledge, Patrick Rutledge, Natalie Carr Jowers, Leslie Anne Rutledge, Brendan Rutledge, and a grand niece and grand nephews. Jack was a generous, fun-loving man whose pastimes included cooking, gardening, golf, sci-fi movies, and spending time with his family and many friends. He was an avid fisherman and loved traveling. especially California vacations to cheer on his favorite football team, the Oakland Raiders. Jack was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle and he will be missed dearly. Memorial gifts can be made to the .
