MANUEL APODACA

Manuel Apodaca, 81 of El Paso, TX passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2013. He was very active and passionate about his career, serving in the Army and teaching with El Paso Independent School District for over 20 years. Manuel is survived by his loving spouse Lilia Maturino; children: Victor Apodaca, Rosie Apodaca, Rebecca Blackburn, Fabiola Chavez and Claudia Villa; grand-daughter: Crystal Apodaca, 9 additional grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brother: Gustavo Apodaca. He enjoyed singing, gardening, traveling and spending time with friends and family. We will always remember your smile, humor and loving devotion to our family. In life we loved you dearly in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left peaceful memories your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2013 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church.
