Mary Maxine Easter, 89, of El Paso, TX passed away at her home on December 3, 2012 surrounded by family. Maxine was born on September 5, 1923 in Dalhart, Texas, the daughter of Emory Hershel and Sammie (Coleman) Spann. On February 12, 1945, Maxine married the love of her life, James Marshall Easter. They were married for 62 years until Marshall's death in 2007. Maxine dedicated her life in baptism to Jehovah God in 1949. She was a loyal and steadfast servant of Jehovah God from that day forward. Maxine was well known for her kindness, warmth, incredibly good sense of humor, and ever present beautiful smile. Maxine is survived by her children, Carolyn P. Backer (Bud) of Los Lunas, NM; Pamela Hudson of Joplin, MO, Ada Ibarra of El Paso, TX; Marsha Hulsing (Dan) of Tacoma, WA; and David Easter (Diane) of Ruidoso, NM; her sister Lanell Hopkins of Chandler, AZ; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Marshall Easter; her parents, including her stepfather Ben Bryant; six brothers, most recently her beloved twin, Bill Spann of McPherson, KS; and four sisters. A Memorial Service for Maxine will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 6255 Strahan Rd., El Paso, TX.
