RYAN REYES

REYES, RYAN MATTHEW Ryan Matthew Reyes, born May 12, 1983, passed away on February 20, 2014. He is survived by his parents, Ricardo and Ruth Reyes, sisters, Ruby Ann Reyes and Rickie Jean Reyes, brother-in-law, Omar Ramos, nephews, Julian Andrew Anguiano, Omar Ethan Ramos, and Derek Kyle Reyes, all of El Paso, Texas. Ryan resided in El Paso, Texas his entire life. He was a passionate musician whose music brought joy to all who heard it. At the age of twelve, Ryan started performing with Mariachi Frontera. As a teenager, together with a group of friends, he formed his signature band, BlankXpression, and later continued on to play with the various local bands; BJ Pando y La Mezcla, Así­, and his latest venture Ambición. It is with these groups that he showed his love for music and versatility in many genres. He is most well known for BlankXpression. It is here that he achieved the most success; having released a full length album, winning Battle of the Bands in 2001, and playing for thousands at the KLAQ Balloonfest in 2008. From the moment he learned to walk and talk, he expressed his love and interest to play the guitar. Ryan was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, Godfather, and friend. He was a beautiful, kind, loving, talented, humorous and understanding person. He will be greatly missed, but remembered by all who love him and knew him. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord. And let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen.
