Sallie Morgan Clements Leverton, 95, of El Paso passed away on February 6, 2013. Born in Greenwood, Mississippi, she attended Denver University and the University of Arizona, where she met her husband of 64 years, Wilfred Bailey (Bill) Leverton, who predeceased her. Sallie and Bill moved to El Paso eighteen years ago to be close to their son Reed and his wife Cathy and their four children, Kate, Maggie, Luke and Bailey, all of whom survive her. Sallie's three children, ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren will remember her for her quick and witty sense of humor, her stories, her infectious laugh, her compassion and generosity of spirit. Family members acknowledge with appreciation the loving care given to her in the last years of her life by Cathy Leverton, with the sensitive help of Hospice of El Paso, Inc., 1440 Miracle Way, El Paso 79925. A private memorial service will be held in Winston-Salem, NC, on March 10.
