SAMUEL FLORES

Samuel Flores (Papa), 82, passed away on Saturday, March 8, 2014. Samuel (Papa) was a loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and father-in-law. Samuel retired as a master plumber and spent his life dedicated to his family. He enjoyed sharing stories from the past especially when speaking about his love for Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was a devoted practicing Catholic and served as an altar boy during his early years. He often stated to his children and grandchildren: to study and work hard, be honest, and most importantly to be faithful and thankful daily. After retirement, Samuel, also became a dedicated homemaker and cook alongside with his wife of 58 years, Chelo. Samuel continued family traditions cooking for the family, holiday traditions, and celebrations. He was preceded in death by his wife, Consuelo (Chelo) Flores. Mr. Flores is survived by three daughters and one son, Yolanda (Manuel Jr.), Blanca Estela (David), Eva Alicia (Fernando Jr.) from El Paso, Texas and Jose (Chhrorng) from Elma, Washington. Samuel is also survived by seven grandchildren: Sasha Monik, Danielle Erika, Patrick David, Regina Raelyn, Kathryn Nicole, Mak, and Mia. We now have another angel in Heaven watching over us! We love you with all our hearts Papa! Send us your daily blessings and love! You will always be in our hearts! Papa's famous quote was: Si Se Puede! Visitation will be Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 17, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church.
