Simon Aguiñaga was called by the Lord on October 27, 2013. Simon was a hard working man who taught his children the meaning, the importance of family, something they never lost sight of. In his final months, Simon fought hard to overcome his illness and was never left alone, his wife and children by his side through every trial and tribulation, the essence of family, the legacy of a man, provider, husband and devoted father and grandfather. Mr. Simon Aguiñaga's life and legacy lives on in his children and grandchildren. Thanks to Sierra Providence East ICU, and nurse Selene Ruiz. Simon Aguiñaga is survived by his wife Elisa Aguiñaga, daughters Edna, Cynthia, Norma and Cindy, Ilka and Tony Rodriguez, preceded in death by Orlando Aguiñaga. Simon is survived by his grandchildren, Cristian, Jacob,and Andrew Rodriguez, his siblings Velia Trujillo, Delia Soto, Robert and Raul Aguiñaga. A special thank you to his nieces and nephew, Naomi, Edna, Magda, Frank and Erika who have continually offered their undying support, to Bonnie Galvan for being a part of our family always willing to help. Visitation will be held on November 4th from 6-9 pm with recitation of the rosary at 7 pm at San Jose Funeral Home-East. Mass will be November 5th at 10 am at St. Stephens Catholic Church.
