Tomasa Chavira March 7, 1923-March 15, 2014 Our devoted mother, Tomasa was guided by God's loving hand to be with him for all eternity. Welcoming her with open arms is our dear father, Alberto Chavira. They shared their lives for 71 years here on earth and are now taking their final journey hand in hand alongside our 4 departed brothers; Juanito, Victor, Rosalio, and Casimiro, and her sister Soledad. She gave us the gift of love, faith, and laughter. Our mother was an active member of the community and of Little Flower Catholic Church. Remembering her loving ways are daughters: Margarita Rejino and husband Victor, granddaughter Victoria Rejino, Ofelia Gonzalez (Fidel), Juana Chavira, and Francisca Chavira, sons: Edward Chavira (Teresa), Jesus Chavira, Eleuterio Chavira (Carmen), and Juan Chavira (Teresa). Others survivors include numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family members, and friends. Viewing will be held Friday, March 21, 2014 at San Jose Funeral Home-East from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be onSaturday, March 22, 2014 at Little Flower Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Alameda Cemetery. Honored to carry her to her the final resting place are sons; Edward, Eleuterio, Jesus, and Juan, grandson Victor, and Son-in-Law Victor Rejino. We are extremely grateful to her care-givers Laura Cardenas and Elizabeth Smith for making her life during these last few months very special.
