VINCENT LONG

VINCENT V. LONG, 90, passed peacefully on February 15, 2013. He was born April 3, 1922 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Cecil V. Long and Helen (Kinney) Long. Mr. Long served in the Navy during WW II. He retired from Southern Pacific Railroad after 40 years as a locomotive engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Craig D. Long, and daughter, Patricia Dominguez. He survived by the love of his life for 67 years, Pearl (June bug) Long, daughter and caregiver, Deborah A. Long, and son, Michael Long, 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Yoli, Blanca, and Betty from Mariposa Hospice for their care and support these past months. They would also like to thank Dr. Joe Torres and his staff for their care. The family will receive friends from 4-9pm on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Martin Funeral Home Central, at 3839 Montana. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 10:00 am at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
