Obituary Condolences

Amparo Castrellon was called to heaven on the Epiphany of Our Lord. She was born on July 15, 1921 to Ramiro and Guadalupe Perez in El Paso. She worked for over 30 years as a seamstress for various clothes manufacturers. She was a devoted mother and a devoted member of the Catholic Church. She was very famous for her wit, sense of humor, and love of music. Our mother was always there to give comfort and consolation to others. She is preceded in death by her son Raymond Castrellon, sisters Leonor and Inez, brothers Guillermo, Ciro, and Roberto. She is survived by siblings Jose Angel and Miguel Perez. She is also survived by her children Jose (Clara), Hector Manuel (Graciela), and Maria Leticia (Victor). She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren Jose, Juan, and Julio Castrellon; Hector Jr., Delilah, Rebecca, and Job Castrellon; Val Jon, and Corina Vianey Hernandez; and Daniel Castrellon. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren Alexander Ross and Maximillian Leo Hernandez; Malaki Gage Holtz; Samuel and Vincent Castrellon. We love you and will always have you in our hearts. The family wishes to thank the staff at Regent Nursing Home and the Center for Compassionate Care for their services. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas located at 9521 N. Loop. Mass of the Resurrection will be said at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church 9521 N. Loop. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
