Angel Valerio, 82, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014. Angel was a lifelong resident of El Paso, TX. He was a Bowie High School Alumni (1950). Angel was a Korean War Veteran and served in the U.S. Air Force. After his military service he worked for 40 years in Communications and U.S. Defense Systems in the Civil Service. Angel was a Christian man that was active in his church as a translator and also ministered with his talent of music in El Paso with the Christian group "Pescadores de Hombres". He was preceded in death by his wife, Eulalia "Doris" Valerio and is survived by his children, Lorenzo, Anthony, Richard, Lorraine, Gilbert and Christine, 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers Joseph and Manuel, and survived by his sisters, Julia, Elvira, Carmen, Antonia, and Rosa and a brother, John. Angel was a good man who loved and supported his family and was a good friend to many. Above all he was a good and faithful servant to our Heavenly Father sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Prayer Service at 7 p.m. Graveside Service with military honors will be Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with procession leaving funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Services under the direction of HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME.1060 CAROLINA DR. 598-3332
