AURORA CHAVIRA Obituary
Aurora L. Chavira, 90, of Ft. Hancock, Tx passed away Monday, July 22, 2013. Aurora was born January 10, 1923. She is preceded in death by husband Eugenio C. Chavira, son Jesus Chavira and granddaughter Martha Ann Chavira and siblings, Alfredo, Amelia, Thomas, and Lucy Lopez. She is survived by her children Eugenio Chavira (Irma), Arturo Chavira (+Norma) Mary Soto (John), and Manuela Dominguez (+Zach). She is also survived by her brothers Jose and Genovevo Castro and sister in law Teresita Chavira. Grandchildren Sandra Baumhardt (Donnie), Gina Jimenez (Paul), Melissa Gomez, Melinda Chavira, Arturo Chavira Jr., Denise Borunda (Danny) Noami Dominguez, John Gene Soto and Annette Ruiz (Joe), along with 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. The family would like to extend their gratitude for the gentle care during Aurora's last days by Dr. Hernandez and Regent Nursing Home staff. Pallbearers: Johnny Gene Soto, Arturo Chavira Jr., Fabian Soto, Tony Martinez, Anthony Gomez, and Aaron Reyes. Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Jimenez, Joe Ruiz, Donnie Baumhardt and Danny Borunda. Aurora was cherished and beloved by all that knew her. She was a devoted Catholic with a strong spiritual strength that shined through her deep and unconditional love for her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Santa Teresa Catholic Church, Fort Hancock, Texas. Interment will follow at Fort Hancock Cemetery.
