Mrs.Charlie Glen Johnson Ramsey passed away March 27, 2013. She was born November 17,1925 in Presidio, Texas. She grew up in the lower valley, graduated from Ysleta High School, and was voted "Most Popular Girl" her senior year. She received her B.A. degree in 1947 from Texas College of Mines, where she was active in her sorority, Delta Delta Delta, and voted "All Mines Favorite". She taught school in the Ysleta School District for 37 years. In 1980 she received the degree of Master of Education from UTEP. She was a member of Tri Delta Alumnae, Ysleta Retired Teachers, UTEPAlumnae, Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Descendants of Austin's "Old 300", and Descendants of the Battle of San Jacinto. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pearson Lee Ramsey; brother, Lloyd S. Johnson, and sister, Ruth Johnson Smith. She is survived by her son, Dr. Kenneth Lee Ramsey and wife Lore; her daughter Kathy Glen Ramsey; and three grandsons, Jacob Lee Ramsey, Robert Lee Foster, and Hunter David Foster; a sister, Ada E. Johnson Holmes; sister-in-law, LuEtta Holmsley Johnson and also five nieces and two nephews. Graveside service will be held at Evergreen East Cemetery, April 16, 2013 at 11:00 A.M.
