Gertrude Davis joined her Savior in eternity on July 3, 2013. Gertie was born in El Paso on April 14, 1929. She invested most of her life in her family, but she also worked many years at Kress and Woolworth's as a window dresser and volunteered her creative talents to help build her church. She shared her Christian faith with her family, her friends and neighbors, and everyone else. She was a faithful member of Rose of Sharon Church for more than 30 years. To know her was to know Christ's love. Gertie is survived by her faithful and loving husband of 62 years, Clifford Davis, their six children, Walter Davis, Ed and Susan Davis, Mark and Bonnie Stone, Gary and Lorraine Croll, John and Sandra Vera, and Troy and Vivian Roberts, twenty grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and many more whom she loved as her own. With her passing, she joins her parents, Pete and Ramona Morales, her sister Elizabeth de la Fuente, and her grandson David Bradshaw, Jr. Her life will be celebrated during visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 5, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central, 3839 Montana Ave. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at Rose of Sharon Church, 7932 Mansfield Ave., followed by a graveside service at Evergreen Cemetery, 12400 Montana.
