Obituary Condolences

BELTRAN Hernaldo "Nalito" Beltran Jr., January 24, 1990 - April 22, 2014. SPC Beltran, son, father, brother, husband, and friend passed away while on the humanitarian project "Beyond the Horizons" which built schools for children at Los Limones, Guatemala. He was born and raised in El Paso, TX where he graduated from Americas High School in 2008. Nalito wanted to do something to better himself and be able to get into a government job so he enlisted in the U.S. ARMY December 2009 and re-enlisted 2013. He changed and touched so many lives all over the world. SPC Beltran brought smiles and warmth to everyone who knew him especially his family and Army brothers. Thanks to the 56th Signal Battalion at Fort Sam in San Antonio, Texas who helped his family see that Beltran had more than one family, he also had them. It's very hard to describe him with only one word but BN CDR Nicole Morris, his commander did have one that was perfect, a "diamond" she explained because he was eager to serve on the deployments. "He was the go to guy," Morris said "everyone would ask for SPC Beltran by name. " The school in which Beltran was helping to build was named in his honor so his name will be with us for eternity. He was loved by many and will be truly missed by his mom Hortensia Gallegos, father Hernaldo Beltran, brothers Mario and Jorge Beltran, son Brandon Beltran and wife Emma Beltran. Visitation will be held on Sunday May 4, 2014 from 4-9pm with a Vigil Service at 7 pm at Crestview Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday May 5, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with Interment to follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Crestview Funeral Home 1462 N. Zaragosa 856-1400.
