Irma Uribarri Diaz passed in peace on Friday, February 14, 2014, with her family by her side. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother, yet none of these words can ever truly capture the spirit of her amazing gifts of compassion, strength, unconditional love, and inner peace. Irma has left a void no one can fill, but also a legacy of love, laughter, and joy. She was and always will be the very definition of the word "love." She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lucero Diaz, and her grandson, Carlos De La Torre. She is survived by her husband, Jorge Diaz; three children, Patricia Rice, Jorge Diaz, and Marco Diaz; two daughters-in-law and son-in-law, Rosario Diaz, RosaMaria Diaz, and Robert Rice; eight grandchildren, Clarissa De La Torre, Angelica Gonzalez, Raul Gonzalez, Josele Diaz, Christina Rice, Marissa Diaz, Idaly Diaz, and Carlos Diaz; and three great-grandchildren, Sienna Heredia, Albert Heredia, and Ximena Gonzalez. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central at 3839 Montana Ave. on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM at San Xavier Catholic Church on 519 S. Latta St. with Interment to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements under the direction of Funeraria Del Angel Martin Central, 3839 Montana Ave.
