I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. I remember him as a smart and dynamic man. To this day, I think of him grinning excitedly over his Bose speakers when I hear Manheim Steamroller play. My family is praying for yours- our sincerest condolences.

Today James Gamble was laid to rest. On a quiet, warm, and almost motionless morning, I paid my last respects to a great man-a great teacher of life. A humble man with an amazing heart. Thank you Jim for the many laughs, your lil anecdotes, our sojourns to the laplands of new dark in search of that perfect celestial event. Thank you for instilling that unceasing and unwavering passion for weather. I will always remember how we would get giddy when severe weather was imminent. Thank you for allowing me to meet your wonderful wife, Jan, and your kids Steve and Chris. They are the truest extensions of your love. Thank you for everything. You have forever impacted my life. Now, as I shed my last tears and long in thought, I will take comfort knowing these three words in your last moments here on earth that...
...IT IS OK...
see you soon bud.

Jim, there are no words to describe just how much you touched everyone you came in contact with. You will be missed my friend, now you can reach the stars. Heaven just got a great weatherman. You and Brandon will talk astronomy for eternity. RIP Jim.
