Obituary Condolences

John Patrick Anaya transformed into eternal life on a lovely Wednesday afternoon, February 12, 2014, joining his beloved dog, Nanook Ryan. Born on March 23, 1963 and hiding behind his wombmate, Joseph, he was a bonus gift to his parents, Joe and Grace Anaya. And just like his first appearance in the world, he was always full of surprises. His kindness, gentle spirit and boundless love were instantly revealed to all who met John Patrick. The ringing cadence of his laughter punctuated every conversation he shared. He was gentle, kind and his spiritual journey was completed with the revelation he shared in his last Facebook post: "Peace will not be until you release that which is not love." His departure leaves us all surprised and bewildered. He lives on in the memory of his beloved parents and siblings, Joseph Patrick Anaya, Christine Bernadette Dennis, Roberta Anne O'Brien, Michael F.D. Anaya, and Sarah Elizabeth Marie MontaÅ?o, the many relatives, friends and soulmates he delighted during his journey among us and his new canine companion, Thor Ryan. Family and friends will gather at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano, on Sunday, February 16, 2014 beginning at 3:00 p.m. to share stories and laughter of all who he is, and to pray the Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, February 17, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Community, 1050 N. Clark.
