Obituary Condolences

Ken Bridges passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, in Cedar Park, Texas. Ken excelled as a husband and father. He was married to Jean for 45 years, until her death in 2000. Ken and Jean met thru a mutual friend and as they say, the rest is history. Ken was a long haul truck driver until his retirement. He enjoyed taking his dog Tinkerbell for a walk and growing tomatoes. He looked forward to having Sunday dinners with Doug Picklesimer and his family. Ken also enjoyed Sunday morning coffee with Eva Smiley. Ken leaves behind son Johnny and daughter-in-law Kim Bridges, daughter Dolores Butler, son Mike and daughter-in-law Elsy Bridges, daughter Karla and son-in-law Allen Smiley. Ken has 2 surviving grandchildren, grandson Ray and wife Sandy, granddaughter Heather and husband Adam. Ken also has 4 great grandchildren. Ken is survived by 3 sisters, Letha, Claudine, Bettye and her husband Stanley. The family wishes to thank the Picklesimer family for their love, prayers, fishing stories and Sunday dinners for our dad. The family also would like to thank Eva for all she did to help our family. We love you and will miss you Papa. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice Austin, 4107 Spicewood Springs Road, Austin, Texas 78759. Ken?s favorite color was red. In his honor, if you so desire, please wear red to the service. Graveside services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2012 at Fort Bliss National Cemetery.
