Thanx to Manuel this posting will go on...I would like to submit a story about Mora...One day a group of friends were camping...Me (Lydia) and Mora were talking about important people in our lives...she said "My mom and my sister are my best friends...I could see (magge) cooking something on the grill.. mora smiled at magge and magge smiled back (not even knowing mora had just said Magge was her "Best Friend" ...its like they just knew... I loved what their family was about since then...

Erica, Liliana, Hector, and Magge:
I can't imagine the pain you are going thru. I have constantly been praying for each of your hearts and I send my deepest sympathy. I am honored to have called Mora my friend. Her laughter and playfulness was truly contagious. I hold many sweet memories of her and will never forget her "chiple" voice.

Morayma:
We had few encounters but from those encounters I got to know you and have a deep connection. I know that for you helping others was something that you loved to do, and it was very fullfiling. Now you will be with your daddy again. (Say hi to Alonso)
Magge:
God blessed you with an angel that filled you with joy and pride. God bless you and may he give you strength and help you move on with your family.
Erica and Hector:
May God Bless you both and give you the strength to help ease your pain and loss. We will always be here for you both, whatever you may need.
Manuel:
Thank you for being part of Morayma's life and for providing Maggie, Erica and Hector your unconditional support.
May God Bless You All

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Liz Gonzalez. I no longer live in El Paso and I don't know your family, but I realized today that you are the young lady whose life was cut short tragically while trying to help someone. Last week, while in LA, for my aunt's funeral, my sister from El Paso mentioned this tragedy to me. Losing a loved one so suddenly, (we did too) is a very sad and heavy burden in our hearts. May you find peace and comfort in the memories of your beautiful LIZ. May God be with you and sustain you!

To the Family of Liz Gonzalez:
When days are sad
and lonely,
And everything goes
wrong,
we seem to hear you
whisper,
“Cheer up and carry on”
Every time we see your
picture,
You smile and seem to
say,
“Don’t cry, I’m only
sleeping,
We’ll meet again
some day.”
You bade no one a last
farewell,
Nor even said goodbye.
You were gone before we
knew it.
And only God knows why.
A million times we've
missed you,
A million times we've
cried.
If love alone could have
saved you,
You never would have
died.
In life we loved you
dearly,
In death we love you -
still.
In our hearts, you hold
a place
No one else can ever fill.
It broke our hearts to
lose you,
But you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God took you
home.
Know that you now have an angel blessing you from above.
May all the memories and love you shared with your daughter bring you comfort and peace.
With deepest sympathy,
El Paso Sheriff's Department Citizens Advisory Board

Ms. Gonzalez,
I didn't know your daughter Liz, but when I heard the story about her in the news it broke my heart and brought me tears into my eyes. For me being a mother and having a daughter and son almost the same age it is painful.I can't even imagine lossing a loved one! God needed an Angel and swept her away to heaven;put her wings on and put on a halo on her which brought Liz a beautiful smile which she already had. Be proud,I know its hard because of your loss. Liz touch alot of peoples's hearts and didn't even know her. May God Bless you and your family. My sincere and deepest condolences. God Bless...May Liz R.I.P...eternity...

I HAD THE PLEASURE OF MEETING LIZ. WE WENT TO MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL TOGETHER. EVEN THOUGH WE DIDNT REALLY INTERACT MUCH I CAN STILL SAY SHE WAS A REALLY NICE PERSON. SHE WAS ALWAYS SMILING AND WITH HER SPIRITS UP. IT WAS A SHOCK TO ME AND HAD TEARS IN MY EYES TO FIND OUT THAT IT WAS HER THAT TRAGEDY HAD STRUCK. A PERSON LIKE HER DID NOT DESERVE TO BE TAKEN LIKE THIS. SHE WAS AN ANGEL SENT FROM HEAVEN. THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE TO PROVE THAT GUARDIAN ANGELS DO EXIST. YOU WILL BE TRULY MISSED LIZ.

MY PRAYERS GO OUT TO THE FAMILY. I CANT IMAGINE ALL THE PAIN YOU ARE GOING THROUGH. KEEP IT IN YOUR HEARTS THAT GOD BLESSED YOU WITH THIS ANGEL THAT HE GOT TO SHARE WITH YOU FOR 25 YRS. GOD BLESS HER FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

Our love and prayers are with Liz' family and friends and those involved in this tragic accident. Her selfless love showed strongest in her action that morning as well as in her daily job.
The Lord Jesus Christ said,
"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."(John 15:10)
Liz is more precious than an angel. She was not doing what she was commanded to do that day, but showing a true sense of caring and love for someone she did not even know. She demonstrated to us all what a true neighbor is like.
May her reward be great in heaven
May the grace shown to Cecy (who was rescued from the wreck) be a reminder to us all that but by the grace of God, I am what I am.
As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. For he says,
"In the time of my favor I heard you,
and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.
May Liz ' actions inspire us all to let our light shine before men, that they may see our good deeds and praise our Father in heaven.

I did not know your daughter Liz I heard of her accident the morning it occurred from a friend who is an officer. That morning I prayed for her and your family, although I did not know her personally she touched my life that morning. I thought of her getting ready like any other day and I begin to ponder many thoughts about her life, my children and I talked about her and prayed also. Your daughter touched my life emotionally and spiritually , I ask Gods comfort over your family. I too have suffered the loss of my dear sister to a tragic accident and have seen the pain in my parents eyes.... time and God does heal your heart, the pain often will feel unbearable but know that many people will always be praying and your daughter Liz has touched the lives of many even strangers like myself... God be with you always

Gonzalez Family,
I am truely sadden by your loss. I only have seen Liz and smiled at her at Downtown when I would visit. She is an inspiration to us all. She is one of the few that cared to help those in need and for that I am grateful for her heroic action. May God help your family in this painful time. She is an Angel in my heart, I will always remember Liz.

I did not have the honor of meeting your daughter, sister and friend but my friend did. It takes a very special person to have the courage and heart to help a perfect stranger. My prayers are with you and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. May the Lord be with you in your time of sorrow.

I had the pleasure of working with Liz. Every morning, she would come in early. She had a smile that was contagious and I can still hear her laugh. We would count in the morning together. She was counting in, and I was counting out. She'd ask me how my night was while we were counting. I guess I still haven't been able to wrap my brain around the fact that she won't walk through that door in the morning. I still keep looking for her to come in, just like I did this morning, just like I did yesterday morning.
We all miss her so much.
