Obituary Condolences

Mario Aguilar Sanchez born October 2, 1944, caring and loving husband, father and grandfather left this world to join our Lord Jesus on March 21, 2013. Originally from Cd. Juarez, Mario joined the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam war gaining citizenship from service. With God's grace, he returned and immigrated his wife, Patricia Olague. A graduate of Cathedral High School (class of 1962) he earned his B.B.A. in Accounting at UTEP in 1974 and served El Paso through a full career in public and community service with employers such as the City of El Paso as Director of the Department of Human Development, and later as the Executive Director of Centro Medico Del Valle Health Care Facility. He was also a long time member and volunteer of LULAC council 132. His legacy lives on in his wife of 45 years, Patricia, daughter Sandra Sanchez Almanzan (Robert Almanzan), sons, Mario Alberto Sanchez, and Fernando Abraham Sanchez (Angela Gabaldon, daughter Niya), grandchildren, Sofia Yamel, and Robert Martin, Jr. He's preceded in death though his parents, Aurora Aguilar, David Sanchez, and sister Maria de Jesus Romero. He is survived by brothers, Hector, Javier, Sergio, Jose and Cesar. Please join us in a celebration of his life. Mt. Carmel Funeral Home (1755 N. Zaragoza) Visitation: Sunday, March 24, 4-8 PM (Mt. Carmel); Rosary 6:00 PM. Funeral Mass: Monday, March 25, 1:30PM at St. Pius X Catholic Church Interment: Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
