Obituary Condolences

FORT WORTH -- On October 16, 2013, Mary Madge McComb Holloway went to be with her Lord and Savior. Known as Mom Mary to many, she was born Febuary 1, 1924 in Warwick, West Virginia. One of eleven children, Mary is survived by her baby sister, Myrle Gibson of Covington, Virginia. As the Matriarch of her family, Mary maintained a close relationship with several nieces and other family members. Mary lived in Huntersville, West Virginia; San Diego, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; Tucson, Arizona; El Paso, Texas; and Fort Worth, Texas. As an Air Force widow, Mary met many people from all her travels and added to her extended selected family. Mary loved her home and viewed her greatest accomplishment as being a mother and a homemaker. She invited people to partake of her home cooked meals. Mary always had an open table. She loved studying the Bible and all her church activities. She never hesitated to share her love of Jesus and encourage those around her to know "the feeling". Mary was a veracious reader. Her most prized possessions were her books. Mary is survived by two daughters, Kay Wright and Jeani Anderson, both of Fort Worth and one grandson, Ken Wright and wife Debbie of Atlanta, Georgia. Words of thanks cannot begin to convey our heartfelt appreciation and love for the faithful and prayerful support from Elizabeth Robles Ministry and all the prayer warriors. Additionally, Mary's family extends an appreciative thank you for all her care givers from Trail Lake Nursing and Rehab. Your kind, loving care made her last days better. A memorial to celebrate Mom Mary's life and honor all her chosen friends and family will be held November 16, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Christ Church, 5301 Altamesa Boulevard, Fort Worth, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that charitable donations be made to Heart for the World, 2118 Grant Avenue, El Paso, Texas 79930, as anyone who had the pleasure to know Mary knew she definitely had a heart for the world. She will be missed by many! Neptune Society of DFW 4101 Airport Freeway, 817-838-5100 View and sign guestbook at
