MILDRED PITTS Obituary
MILDRED YVONNE PITTS, beloved wife of 72 years and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-mother, was called to heaven on November 1, 2013. Mildred was born in Rising Star, Texas on December 29, 1924. She graduated from El Paso High School and later married John B. Pitts on May 11, 1941. As a military family, they traveled a lot and had the opportunity to see Japan and Germany. She worked for Mountain Bell/AT & T Telephone Company until she retired. She was a faithful member of Highland Presbyterian Church and received several awards for her work in support of the Fort Bliss Community Service and retired senior volunteer programs. Mildred is survived by her loving husband, John B. Pitts; daughters Patricia Kuntz of Atlanta, GA; Sharon Modine of Huron, SD; JOHNETTE Norton on Moncks Corner, SC; Jeanette Egan of Chaparral, NM; and Kimberly Covar of Austin, TX; sixteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild. You will be deeply missed and in our hearts forever. The Pitts Family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East Chapel. Graveside will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery at 1:00 PM. Donations to or flowers are both welcomed.
