Uncle Ralph,
My son Christopher graduated from the U.S. Army Boot Camp in Ft. Benning Georgia as the Honor Cadet. He led his class during the closing ceremony. As parents we were extremely proud. I wished you would've been there. After the ceremony, the families and friends are permitted to be with their soldiers. An elder gentleman, on a wheelchair came upto me and Chris and asked if I was related to Rafael Rosario Ramos. I was thrilled, and told the veteran that he was my uncle, and had recently passed away in El Paso Texas. The Vet said that my Uncle Ralph was an extraordinary soldier and that he served with Ralph in the Korean War. He remembered that Uncle Ralph was a POW in the Korean War, and also served in the Vietnam War. This Vet was very proud of my son, too. So, I did get my wish, Uncle Ralph was there!!! It was bitter-sweet , but I felt proud of my son and my Uncle Ralph!!! What a great guy!!
Luv Ya Always,
Your nephew,

As a working companion, he was great & very helpful in the job we had to do! I used to call him in a respectful way ( a true war horse for the service he gave our Country with honor) May he rest in peace and for me I will always remember him.
