ACOSTA Rosie Acosta, 79, of El Paso, Texas, passed on March 14, 2012. Rosie was born August 30, 1932 to Teresa Flores and Francisco Garcia. She is preceded in death by her son, Moises "Sonny" Flores, Jr. and mother, Teresa Flores. Rosie is survived by her daughters, Leigh Kersh (Richard John), Terry Ann Flores, Dr. Robert Wayne Flores (DeeDee) and Roseann Acosta Rodriguez. She was blessed with nine beautiful grandchildren and three great-grandchildren: Max, Nathan, Kristin, Bo Flores, Brianna Flores McLane, Nicole, Aaron, and Danielle Rodriguez, Skyler, Sarah, and Tyler. She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Flores, Irene Simone-Caine, Norma Kidder, Ingrid Reyes, brothers Tony and Mark Flores, numerous nieces and nephews, and let's not forget her beloved Chihuahuas "Chiquita" and "Tiny." Rosie is well known for her business acumen at the young age of seven selling her own grown plants, vegetables, rocks and ladies hosiery to the neighbors. She went on to become a successful land owner and broker throughout her life until her last day. She will always be remembered by her magnificent beauty, her unbeatable culinary skills, her passion for gardening, her work ethic and amazing sense of humor. Her faith in believing that things would always be okay and assuring her children to believe in God stems from her unshakable faith. We will be celebrating her life at Martin Funeral Home Central, 3839 Montana Ave., on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 4 pm., officiated by her son, Dr. Robert W. Flores and grandson, Bo Flores. Our family would like to extend our sincere gratitude for the comfort and kindness shown by so many friends. Mom, you will always be so very special in our hearts. We love you!
