Obituary Condolences

Ruth R. Braun, born June 30, 1922 in El Paso, Texas, passed away on December 30, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna F. and Harry Rosenberg, as well as her three brothers, Joseph, Leo and Sam Rosenberg. She is survived by her step children Douglas Marks and Meredith Senes, step grandchildren Dan Senes and Laura Dodge, and step great granddaughter, Anya Senes. She is also survived by numerous cousins and very good friends. Ruth attended Radford, El Paso High School and Texas College of Mines (UTEP). From 1943 to 1957 she was employed by W. R. Weaver Company, the international manufacturer of rifle telescopes as well as the World War II sniper scope. While living in Denver and Philadelphia, she was employed as a medical secretary and upon her return to El Paso in 1974, she worked for Texas Education Agency, West Texas & Panhandle Regional Day School for the Deaf in the El Paso regional office. She was a member of Temple Mount Sinai and served twice on its Board of Trustees. Members of her personal family, whose love and devotion she truly appreciated and loved, are Laura and Carmen, her dedicated caregivers, Enrique, her most trusted friend, Gustavo, her expert gardener, and Michelle, for many years her trainer and good friend who kept her strong, active and young at heart. Her dog, Sunday, a very sociable and wonderful companion, also survives. Funeral services will be held graveside at Mount Sinai Cemetery on Sunday, January 5, 2014 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Cemetery Fund of Temple Mount Sinai, the El Paso Humane Society or any dog rescue organization would be appreciated.
