I just learned about the passing of this lovely man. I have had the privilege of knowing Sanford and Holly for many years and it has been a delightful experience. Recently, I have served on the Acquisitions Committee at the El Paso Museum of Art with Holly. Sanford always accompanied her and, since I don't drive, they always drove me to my home. They were so much fun especially with Sanford's well-developed sense of humor. I already miss him. El Paso was indeed fortunate to have been blessed with Sanford's presence for so many years. Holly will be just fine since she comes from a long heritage of very strong women.

Sanford was a true gentleman and one of the kindest men I know. His sense of humor and genuine interest in people marked him as being a special person. Holly, you have our condolences and our prayers. Sanford has moved on but his memory will stay with those who were privileged to call him "friend". God bless.

Mr. Cox,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Sanford was one of the first members of the El Paso Museum of Art that I got to know. I looked forward to his greeting, which always included a reference to me as a "pretty girl" (I mean, who wouldn't be charmed by that?). I could always count on him for a laugh, and enjoyed teasing Holly about the challenge of keeping up with him. I will miss him very much.

Bob and I have known Holly and Sanford for years.....what a interesting pair of friends. They were great supporters of the arts and we could enjoy our discussions on just about any subject. He will be missed by all. Our sympathy to the family.

Always made me smile with his adorable and witty personality at UTEP Alumni Association events. I will miss you at the Alumni Association's Passing of the Gavel and the Past Presidents' Reunion. Once a Miner, always a Miner!
