Obituary Condolences

Wiltrud (Trudy) Margaret Hill passed away on Friday, December 20, 2013. She was born in Frankfurt, Germany on November 28, 1928. Her parents were Friedrich and Anna Krückau. She and her family survived the bombing and difficult living conditions of WWII. After the war, she worked for the U.S. Army Air Force, where she met and later married her husband, Newton Hill. She immigrated to the United States in 1958, where she was met by Newton in New York City. They married in New York and settled in El Paso, Texas. She was a devoted, loving wife and mother. Trudy's interests included copper enameling artwork and being a member of the Philanthropic Education Organization here in El Paso. She enjoyed making a home for he husband Newton and their son Eric.She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Newton. She is survived by her son, Eric, her brother and sister, Fritz Krückau and Herta Stewin, and their families. Trudy was a very strong, courageous woman that loved her family very much. She will be missed by family and friends. A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 1 pm at Western Hills United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery. Services entrusted to Martin Funeral Home West, 128 N. Resler Dr. El Paso, Texas.
