TRINIDAD ALVAREZ Obituary
ALVAREZ Trinidad Alvarez was born in Wilder, Kansas on May 27, 1923 to his beloved parents Nieves and Concepcion Alvarez. On March 26, 2012, he was called home by our Lord Jesus Christ. Throughout his life, he was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Thank you, Pop, for all the great memories. The day you left us a piece of us went with you, however, in our hearts you will live forever. We find comfort in knowing that you are looking over us as our Guardian Angel. He retired from ASARCO after 36 years of service and enjoyed over 30 years of retirement with his wife and family; during which, through his kind heart, he started his second career ministering and evangelizing the Lord's Word to those in need. He was a lifetime member of the Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Josefina Ojeda, Lamberto Alvarez, Maria Luisa Rubio, and Herlinda Velasquez. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Maria Salayandia Alvarez and eight children, Jose Alvarez (Margarita), Luz Maria Dorantes-Lopez (Oscar), Adela Alvarez, Mary Alvarez, Tencha Fierro (Robert), Manny Alvarez (Rebecca), Joe Alvarez, and Robert Alvarez (Mary); eighteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren as well as his siblings, Leonila Flores, Elena Cervantes, Jose Nieves Alvarez, and Filiberto Alvarez. Serving as pallbearers will be Jessie Dorantes, Philip Dorantes, Jose Alvarez, Jr., Christopher Alvarez, Robert Cintron, Robert T. Alvarez, David Alvarez, Joe Alvarez, Matthew Dorantes, and Alex Alvarez. The Alvarez Family will receive friends and relatives on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Martin East. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 9:00 am at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church with interment immediately following at Evergreen East Cemetery. In Loving Memory of our Beloved Pop? 2 Timothy 4:7-8 (NIV) I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
