Diana Christina Herrera of El Paso, Texas was born June 5, 1995 and passed away February 9, 2014. She attended Mitzi Bond Elementary School, Lincoln Middle School and graduated from Coronado High School in 2013 where she became a part of the FFA, played "Tiny Tim" in her dance version of 'A Christmas Carol' and took joy in lending a helping hand to all. She attended the University of Texas at El Paso in the fall as an art student and decided she wanted to become a teacher and work with children. She displayed her many talents through arts and crafts, photography and dance. Her beautiful, giving and fun spirit will truly be ever so missed by the many family and friends whom adored her. She is survived by her parents Elvia and Luis Miguel Herrera; sisters Elvia Angelica, Candie Hillary and Vanessa Michelle Herrera; paternal grandparents Candida and Miguel Herrera; maternal grandfather Santiago Esquivias and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Grandmother Hilaria Esquivias "Grandma Lala" preceded her in death. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Vigil Service at 6:00 pm at Hillcrest Funeral Home West. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 14, 2014 at 1:30 pm at St. Matthew's Catholic Parish with Interment immediately following at Memory Gardens of the Valley Cemetery.
