Obituary Condolences

RICARDO M. REYNA, SR. Our beloved father, grandfather, and dearest friend answered The Lord's call to be in HIS heavenly presence for eternity on February 23, 2014. Ricardo M. Reyna Sr. was born on May 11, 1926, to Timoteo Reyna and Lydia Martinez. He was preceded to eternal glory by his beloved wife, Guadalupe Reyna Montoya. Ricardo enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17 and served honorably with U.S. Naval forces in the Pacific Theatre during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He joined the Department of Defense as a master electrician and later served as Chief Electrical Inspector for the City of El Paso until his retirement. Ricardo was a member of Abundant Living Faith Center and was active in veteran's civic activities. Ricardo is survived by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, in whom he sought always to instill a love of God and country, a devotion to family, a joy of living, love, perseverance, generosity and gratefulness. His presence always brightened and enriched our lives. He will be greatly missed by his family, all of whom loved and cherished him. Ricardo knew Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and his legacy as both a Christian and a patriot will live as an inspiration to future generations in our family, as he lives and walks Heaven's Streets of Gold. His children include: Eva Galarza (Charles), Ricardo Reyna, Jr. (Mary), Grace R. Cortez (Robert), Judge Guadalupe R. Gonzalez (Alejandro), Delia R. Sanchez (Manny), Raul Reyna (Violet), Pete Reyna (Dolores), Molly Ramirez (Ray). The family will receive friends at Martin Funeral Home East, 1460 George Dieter,Friday, February 28, 2014 from 8 AM to 9:30 AM. A Christian Service will immediately follow at 9:30 AM and then interment at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery.
