Obituary Condolences

Guadalupe D. Carreon, 89, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and was a lifelong resident of El Paso and a member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Mrs. Carreon was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Carreon and her mother, Dolores Tarin Duran. She dedicated her life to her surviving family, daughter Maria Elena Molina and husband Fernie, son Ernie Carreon, Jr. and wife Estela, and daughter Elva Shackleford and husband Terry. She had seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Carreon was a strong lady with a kind heart and an infectious smile. She prayed and gave her love to many people. Our strength came from the knowledge and respect she poured into our lives. She built a bridge between her life and ours. She taught us to face a real world remembering to be strong and yet gentle. Her service to life was a great example and we are proud she was our beloved mother. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, March 14, 2014 at 9 a.m. at Cristo Rey Catholic Church. Rite of Committal will follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery. Services under the direction of HILLCREST FUNERAL HOME. 1060 Carolina Dr. 598-3332
