Ralph Barron Jr., 76, passed away on March 11, 2014. Ralph (Guero) was born November 25, 1937 in El Paso, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Rafael and Josefina Barron and daughter Sylvia Ann Barron. He graduated in 1953 from Ysleta High School then went into business with his father. He retired after 40 years as the owner of Ace Body Shop. Early on he loved to paint scenery and showed his passion of life through his art. He made memories and friends pursuing his love for the sport of golf. He played a major role in establishing the Ascarate Junior Golf tournament. He was well-known around El Paso for his playing abilities, competitiveness and awards as a championship golfer. He was known for his great spirit, his hospitality and his love of family. He was a wonderful storyteller. He had an incredible recollection of El Paso and its history. He had a great sense of humor and he could really "Cut a Rug". Ralph is survived by his wife, Irma; sons: Ray, Ralph, David, Eddie, Michael; and two Daughters: Laura, and Rosio. He left sisters: Armida Lopez, Marie Rios, Hilda Gemoets, Sylvia Barron; and brother: Richard. He also leaves eight grandchildren and one great grandchild. Contributions can be made to the in his memory. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Hillcrest Funeral Home-Carolina with a Memorial Service at 7:00 pm.
