Obituary Condolences

"A mother holds her children's hands for a whileâ?¦.their hearts forever "NAOMI ELIZABETH MOWAD, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on March 11, 2014, at the age of 86. Naomi's family was the center of her life. She was married to the love of her life, AbieMowad, for 53 years until his passing in 2007. She is survived by her children Leslie (Roger) McNeil; James Mowad (Isela); and Patricia Mowad. Her grandchildren are Savannah and Georgia Mowad; Brittany Goos: and Abraham Calcagno; and her great-granddaughter Layla Miller. Naomi served on the YWCA board for many years and was actively involved in her church, St. Christopher's Episcopal Church (formerly St. Brendan's). A special thanks is extended to Dr. Dwayne Aboud and the CIMA staff; nurse Rick Leyva, and caregivers, Irma Lopez and Alma Avalos. The family extends their sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to our sister, Patty, for providing such loving and tender care to our mother and grandmother. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 18th, at 10:00 A.M. at St Christopher's Episcopal Church, 300 Riverside Drive. Interment will be at Evergreen East Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Abraham Calcagno, Roger McNeil, Hank Hosford, Ricky Harshberger, Greg Harper, and Edgar Ramirez. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or El Paso Humane Society.
