Rafael Ramos Rosario, loving husband, father, dedicated soldier, and fantastic friends presented himself for the final inspection on April 2, 2014. Those of us who knew him know that he will pass with flying colors. He is survived by his wife Hilda Ramos, sons Frankie and Eric, grandchildren Rickie, Brandon, and Isaac, and great-grandchildren Andrew and Anthony, brother Sabino, and sister Lydia. He was a decorated ARMY soldier having served 3 Combat tours in Korea, 4 in Vietnam and Peacekeeper Dominican Republic. His decorations include the
Medal, Combat Infantry Badge 2nd Award, National Defense Service Medal, with Oak Leaf, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea) A great man has left a great void behind and will be greatly missed by family and friends. A Visitation will be held from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at12:30pm at Christ the Savior Catholic Church on Monday, April 7, 2014 at Christ the Savior Catholic Church with a Committal Service to Follow at Fort Bliss National Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Services entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home Northeast.
