Obituary Condolences

Lillian G. Werthmann, age 89, passed away on May 7, 2014 surrounded by her family. Lillian was a life-long resident of El Paso, Texas and graduated from El Paso High School. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph John Werthmann, her parents, Ysidro and Virginia Gonzales, and her siblings, Oscar Gonzalez, Ph.D. and Rene Gonzalez, Ph.D. Lillian is survived by her children, Cecilia Hawkins, Ph.D. (Thomas), Lillian A. Werthmann, Joseph John Werthmann, Jr. (Nancy), and Virginia Werthmann and her siblings, Raul Gonzalez and Richard Gonzalez, Ph.D. She is also survived by her grandchildren Lorig and Sibley Hawkins, Laura, Melissa, Gabriela, Andrew and Matias Werthmann. Lillian was the loving soul mate of her husband Joseph and a loving mother and grandmother. "To thine own self be true" were the words that guided her life and made her such an inspiration to her entire family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary from 7:00-8:00 p.m. at Harding-Orr & McDaniel Funeral Home, 320 Montana Avenue, El Paso, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Cathedral, 1118 N. Mesa, El Paso, Texas with an interment to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4848 Alps Drive, El Paso, Texas. Pallbearers include Agustin Hinojos, Arnold Esparza and David Castro. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Gonzalez, Raul Gonzalez and Thomas Hawkins. The family wishes to thank all those who tenderly cared for Lillian during her final months.
