PATRICIA DIAZ Obituary
Patricia Diaz 55, passed away on May 14, 2014 peacefully and surrounded by loved ones. She was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. Her lifelong passion was teaching and after receiving her bachelor's degree in Education from UTEP, she went on to work for EPISD. She pursued her passion at Rusk Elementary and Clendenin Elementary where she taught as a pre-kindergarten teacher. Although her battle with cancer was tough, it did not keep her from teaching and helping her students even while receiving treatment. She enjoyed her career for 30 years until her retirement in 2014. She loved to curl up with a good book and a hot cup of coffee. Her home is filled with her collection of Cherished Teddies and anything bear related. She loved cooking, family get-togethers and trips to Ruidoso. She will be greatly missed and always loved. Patricia is preceded in death by her; parents, Angelina and Antonio Diaz Sr.; brother, Richard Diaz † (Alicia Terrazas). She is survived by her; daughter, Michelle T. Diaz; son, Michael K. Diaz; brother, Antonio Diaz (Irma Diaz†) and Jorge Diaz (Ann Diaz). She also leaves behind many nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends whom she all loved deeply. Special Thanks to Hospice of El Paso for their care and compassion. "Our Love for you is not written on paper, for it can be erased. Nor is our love for you etched in stone, for stone can be broken. But our love for you is inscribed in our hearts, where it shall remain forever". Memorial Visitation: 6-9:00PM, Friday, May 23, 2014 at San Jose Funeral Home 10950 Pellicano Dr. with Vigil Service at 7:00PM. Memorial Mass: 11:00AM, Saturday, May 24, 2014 at St. Pius X Catholic Church 1050 N. Clark. Services directed by San Jose Funeral Home-Fabens (915) 764-2254.
