Clotilde "Cloti" Hernandez, 84, passed away Wednesday June 4, 2014, after celebrating her 84th birthday with her family and friends. Ms. Hernandez was born June 3, 1930 in El Paso, Texas. She lived in the border cities of Cd. Juarez and El Paso all her life. She held many jobs in El Paso, including, Family Planning, Visiting Nurses Association, and Bienvivir Senior Health Services primarily in the medical assistance field. After retirement, Cloti won many awards in crafts costumes and other participation at Bienvivir Senior Health Services. She was known as soft-spoken, kind-hearted, care-giving and for her patience. Her door was always open for those in need. She is survived by her sons and her daughters-in-law, Ruben and Patsy; Miguel Angel and Sylvia; had 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Clotilde lived with her two surviving sisters, Irma Saucedo and Gloria Hernandez for many years. Also survived by 3 brothers, Ladislado "Lalo", Manuel "Papi", and Luis Aaron Hernandez. Cloti was always surrounded by her numerous family and friends, including staff and members from Bienvivir. Visitation will be held on Monday June 9, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at San Jose Funeral Home-East, 10950 Pellicano (915) 590-8700. Funeral Mass on Tuesday June 10, 2014 at 8:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1315 Travis St. There will be no internment. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.
