She spent most of her childhood in Longmont, Colorado and after graduating from University of Colorado, moved to Pheonix, AZ where she got her teacher's license, and taught Level 4 Elementary school for 2 years. On December 26th of 1950, Alice married Bruce Wierson and in 1953, they moved to El Paso, Tx to raise their 2 sons and daughter. Alice loved the outdoors. She and her family enjoyed hiking the desert mountains outside El Paso looking for Indian arrowheads and pottery. She also enjoyed family time at their getaway in the mountains near Ruidoso, NM. Alice loved dancing, toll painting, playing bridge, her women's group at church, belonged to the Norwegian club of El Paso, and dearly loved all the many family celebrations in El Paso, and visits to family in Atlanta and Washington. To everyone that new Alice, she was loving, never said an unkind word about anybody. Her gentle and kind spirit will be missed.
